Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Last updated: 10 September 2026
This policy explains how Shree Vivekananda Library cum Self Study Centre handles information you give us through this website. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
What we collect
If you submit the enquiry form, we collect the details you enter: your name, mobile number, and — where you choose to provide them — your email address, the service you are interested in, your class or exam, your preferred branch, and your message.
We also record the page of this website you sent the enquiry from, so that we know what you were reading when you got in touch. Nothing else about your visit is recorded against your enquiry — not your location, not your device, not your browsing.
We do not ask for or collect any payment information, identity documents, or sensitive personal information through this website.
Why we collect it
Solely to respond to your enquiry — to call or message you back about the service you asked about. We do not use your details for anything else.
Who can see it
Your enquiry is emailed to us and saved to a private spreadsheet in our own Google account, which only we can open. It is used by the people here who call you back, and by nobody else. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers or other businesses, and we do not use it to send you marketing you did not ask for.
Cookies, storage and the visitor counter
This website sets no cookies at all. There is no advertising network here, no tracking pixel, and nothing that follows you to other websites.
Two small things are saved by your own browser, on your own device:
- Your light or dark mode choice, so the site opens the way you left it. It is stored only if you use the toggle.
- A note that this visit has already been counted, so that moving between pages does not count you more than once. It is forgotten when you close the tab.
Neither identifies you, neither is sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes both.
The visitor number shown in the footer is a single running total for the whole website. We do not record who visited, when, from where, or which pages they read — there is one number, and it goes up by one.
Photographs of students
We publish a student’s name, photograph or examination result on this website only with that student’s permission. Where the student is under 18, we ask a parent or guardian instead.
If your photograph or your child’s appears here and you would like it taken down, tell us and we will remove it — you do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask you to justify it. Use any of the contact details below.
If you are under 18
We teach school students, so some of the people who contact us are children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us your details, and we will speak to them about anything that follows.
We do not knowingly use a child’s details for anything except replying to the enquiry. We do not advertise to children, we do not build profiles of them, and we do not track their behaviour on this website or anywhere else.
Your rights over your information
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what information about you we hold;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your enquiry and any details that came with it;
- stop contacting you.
Ask by phone, WhatsApp or email using the details below. We will act on it, and there is no charge. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, tell us and we will look into it properly — the grievance contact is named below.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as it is useful for talking to you — typically while you are considering joining, and afterwards while you are with us. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it.
Third-party services
Enquiries are delivered and stored using Google (Apps Script, Sheets and Gmail), in our own Google account. The website itself is served from a content delivery network, which necessarily sees the internet address your browser connects from, as every website does.
Following a link from this site — to Google Maps, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook — takes you to a service with its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Contact us, and who to complain to
Arvind Sahu is responsible for how this website handles your information, and is the person to raise a grievance with. For anything at all relating to your details — a question, a correction, a deletion, or a complaint — contact us on 7987541844 or padhlojee@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page and the date at the top will change with it.
